Working with partners across the system to support and collaborate on EDI issues is an important part of our EDI strategy and approach. We want to raise awareness of a new profession-wide survey to assess inclusion and diversity within the pharmacy sector, recently launched by the Royal Pharmaceutical Society.

The survey will assess the effectiveness of the RPS’s Inclusion and Diversity strategy, launched in 2020, in promoting a sense of belonging and encouraging diverse voices within pharmacy. The survey also aims to identify areas for improvement within the strategy to create a more welcoming and representative pharmacy community.

Amandeep Doll, Head of Professional Belonging at the RPS discusses why the survey is important:

“Responding to the survey is an opportunity for pharmacists, pharmacy technicians and the wider pharmacy team to continue shaping the future of the pharmacy profession and contribute to the RPS’ Inclusion and Diversity Strategy. I would like to encourage as many people as possible to fill out the survey, as the more responses received, the more representative we can be!”

The survey will gather data on the experiences and opinions of pharmacists, pharmacy technicians and the wider pharmacy team across nine protected characteristics, and on caring responsibilities, socio-economic backgrounds, Welsh language and rurality for Scotland."

The survey will take approximately 8-10 minutes to complete. All data will be anonymised and if participants are an RPS member, their answers will not be linked to their membership in any way.
