Our focus this year has been on supporting pharmacies, pharmacists, and pharmacy technicians to take on an even wider role across England, Scotland and Wales, to help improve access to care for patients and the public.
As an organisation, we have continued to implement a flexible approach to improve the way we work and prepare for future challenges, as the pharmacy professions themselves are changing.
We have also kept moving ahead with delivering our key priorities, including:
- Delivering our strategic plan for 2020–25, including strengthening our performance against the Standards of Good Regulation. We are also developing our new strategic plan for 2025-2030
- continuing to work with patients and the public, health professionals, the NHS, and the wider health sector to develop new standards for Chief Pharmacists
- driving forward our equality, diversity and inclusion strategy and action plan, using our regulatory powers to support and drive positive change, including addressing discrimination and ensuring equitable access to person-centred care.
