We want to listen to our stakeholders, and to hear about the issues and topics that matter most to you. Our regional roundtables events bring together a broad range of stakeholders, enabling us all to draw out new perspectives on key topics. We will be hosting further regional events across Great Britain in 2024.
We hosted a joint webinar with NHS England and Community Pharmacy England for new pharmacy owners. Presentations included a brief overview of what role each organisation plays and what input new pharmacy owners can expect. Whilst being targeted to new pharmacy owners, this webinar was open to anybody who felt they might have an interest.
We had an exhibition stand throughout the show and also hosted drop-in sessions with our Chair and Chief Executive.

These events offer an opportunity for you to meet new colleagues across the sector, as well as some of our Council members and GPhC colleagues.

Last year, we hosted a wide-ranging discussion about how racism manifests and affects pharmacy professionals and how this can have a resulting impact on patient care. In this further session, and as part of our follow-up commitments, we focused on accountability and Fitness to Practise, specifically how regulators can tackle over-representation of certain groups in regulatory processes and learn from others about how they have approached this.
This new series of equality focused roundtables and events is designed to shape our regulatory work, informed by the experiences of our stakeholders. This links directly to the commitments in our strategy to help tackle the different types of discrimination within pharmacy and to support an open and inclusive culture where pharmacy teams are empowered to meet their professional and legal obligations.
We hosted this joint webinar with Association of Pharmacy Technicians UK (APTUK). The webinar explains the GPhC’s approach to managing concerns and what fitness to practise is all about, as well as the importance of professionalism.

We’ve recently started to host a series of equality focussed roundtables and events, to help shape our regulatory work, informed by the experiences our stakeholders. This links directly to the commitments in Delivering equality, improving diversity and fostering inclusion: Our strategy for change 2021-26 to help tackle the different types of discrimination within pharmacy and to support an open and inclusive culture where pharmacy teams are empowered to meet their professional and legal obligations.
