The role
Accreditation and recognition panel members use their expertise to ensure that education and training programmes and qualifications are fit for purpose, through rigorous application of the GPhC education and training standards, making judgements on the basis of evidence.
We are seeking to recruit individuals with experience of collaborative decision making, who are deft at considering written and verbal evidence in a balanced way and who can apply knowledge and experience to decision making in a fair and transparent manner.
We are seeking individuals who are not registrants of the GPhC or any other health or social care body.
- Do you have with experience of representing the viewpoint of patients and the public?
- Do you have experience of participating in evidence-based decision-making taking account of relevant policy, guidance, legislation and best practice?
- Do you have a broad understanding of healthcare regulation, UK healthcare systems, and/or higher education systems

Accreditation and recognition events take place both by videoconference and at sites around the around the UK. Panel members must therefore be willing to travel and stay overnight. Accreditation panel members can expect to be assigned around 3 – 6 accreditation and recognition events per academic year.
Accreditation and recognition panel members are remunerated for their work and expenses are paid.
